Molenaar, Roger Louis went home to his heavenly father on February 14th 2019 at U of M Hospital. Roger was born on March 9th 1939 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Cornelius "Casey" Molenaar and Esther (Louis) Molenaar. Roger was a graduate of Kalamazoo Christian High School where he was an outstanding athlete earning All-City and All-State in both basketball and baseball. After high school he served in the Army. On June 23rd 1961 he was united in marriage to his wife Judy Anne Rochholz, they were married for 57 years. Roger was the owner of Molenaar Distributing for 25 yrs. before making a career change. He became a very successful realtor with Prudential Preferred for 21 yrs. Roger continued to work until death transporting cars for GCA-Avis. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Harold and wife Esther; and his sister Barbara Blodgett. He is survived by his wife; daughter, Kim (Don) Gjeltema, son, Scott Molenaar; grandchildren, Courtney Gjeltema, Tyler (Meghan) Gjeltema; brother-in-law, Jesse (Sandy) Rochholz, sister-in-law Janet, (Robert) Pratt; and several nieces and nephews. Roger lived his life for his wife, children and grandchildren. He never missed a game from little league and soccer to football and basketball through high school and college for Courtney and Tyler. He raised them all to be huge U of M fans. He is now home and at peace with his Lord. Visitation will be held from 6-8pm Thursday, February 21 at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick. Private interment will be in Ft. Custer National Cemetery.
