Roger Barnett

Roger D. Barnett, 51, of Decatur, passed away on Monday, May 11, 2020, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. Roger was born May 24, 1968, in Paw Paw, to Jimmy L. Barnett and Jeanette (Parker) Eaves. He met his long-time girlfriend, Mary Moss, who he spent the last 15 years with and meant the world to him. Roger was a hard worker, and worked for most of his life as a farmer. In his spare time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and hunting for morel mushrooms. Most of all he loved his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Roger is survived by his mother, Jeanette Eaves; children, Jason (Chelsea) Barnett, Jamie Barnett, Angelie (Joe) Janosky, Alicia Mather, Kimberly Barnett and Kristin Barnett; girlfriend, Mary Moss; grandchildren, Jason Jr., Hayden, Bentley, Isaiah, Kennedy, Ian, Mattex, Lincoln, Presley, Paisley Anne, Aubree, Madison and with 2 on the way; and sister, Janet Barnett. He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Lyle Barnett; siblings, Danny and Darrell Barnett; and grandson, Marshall Saye. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date with his family and friends. Memorial contributions in Roger's name may be made to the family, in care of Jason Barnett.
