Robert Stickel

Robert L. Stickel, Jr. of Lawrence, MI passed away Friday, April 17, 2015 at the age of 68. He was born January 14, 1947 to Robert and Margaret (Raven) Stickel. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Dean on January 18, 1986. He served in the U.S. Navy from January of 1965 until honorably discharged in May of 1969. He served 3 tours in Vietnam where he was the recipient of the Purple Heart. He worked for 27 years at James River Crown Vantage. Robert is survived by his wife, Cynthia Stickel; children, Robin Stickel, Christopher (Pamela) Tester, Jennifer Clopton, Kelli (Randy Weaver) Heyboer and Michael (Jennifer) Tester; 9 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; his mother, Margaret Stickel; siblings, Kathy Gavitt and Terri Fabry; many nieces and nephews; and close family friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert L. Stickel, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Tom Fabry. Service times will be announced in the Tuesday Gazette, April 21st.
