Robert S. Williams

Passed away July 21, 2016 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Bob was born September 9, 1944 in Owosso, Michigan to Clyde and Barbara (Leahey) Williams. He grew up in Kalamazoo and graduated from Loy Norrix High School in 1963 and later went to business school for accounting. Bob worked over 30 years in accounting for various companies in the Kalamazoo area and retired from LSI / Kala. Bob enjoyed volunteering his time to help others with his work with Habitat for Humanity, Friends of the Court, and Senior Services to name a few. He was deeply involved in antique and vintage cars and a lifetime member of the Kalamazoo Antique Auto Restores Club where he served as Treasurer for many years. He loved camping and traveling and living life on his terms. His Family... Bob will be missed by his children, Steve (Amy) Williams, Christine (Rob) Farrell; and his grandchildren, Justin, Brandon, Patrick, Alexandra and Alyssa. He will also be missed by his many friends. His Farewell... A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26th at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St., Kalamazoo, MI 49009, with a gathering beginning at 10 a.m. Following the service, there will be a celebration luncheon at a location to be determined. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to the Habitat for Humanity.
