RietKerk, Robert E. Kalamazoo Robert Eugene RietKerk, born June 12, 1932, passed away in his home Tuesday, December 15, 2020. He drifted off peacefully while holding the hand of his loving wife, Barbara. February would have marked their 70th wedding anniversary, a beautiful union giving them five wonderful children; Steven (Yvonne) RietKerk, Paula (Randy) Grabach, Robin RietKerk, Bret (Edith) RietKerk, and Julie (Joel) Solomon. He is also survived by his brother, Bill RietKerk. Bob was an amazing grandpa to his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Bob now goes on to join his grandson, Caine Grabach, whom we lost in 2009. Selfishly, we wish he could have stayed, but are endlessly grateful for the many years we were given to spend with this amazing man. He worked for Coca-Cola (which made us all lifelong Coke drinkers) and retired from General Motors, giving him more time on his goat farm with Barbara and his large family.
