Nash, Robert 3/7/1931 - 5/19/2018 Belmont NASH Robert Louis Nash, known as Bobby to all of his close friends, age 87, went to his heavenly home Saturday, May 19, 2018. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Dessle Nash; sisters, Betty McDonald, Ruth (Doug) McPhee, Jeannette Saewert. Bob is survived by his wife of 42 years, Karen Nash; children, Mike (Linda) Nash, Terri (Larry) Richman, Lisa Hunt; grandchildren, Erin Nash, Kelly (John Lee) Cornell, Owen (Kelly) Nash, Travis Hunt, Anna Hunt; 3 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 1 at Calvary Church, 707 E. Beltline Ave. NE, Grand Rapids. Bob's family will greet relatives and friends 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to the service at the church. Bob was a devoted husband to Karen and he deeply valued his family and friends. Everyone loved Bob for his sense of humor, smile, laugh, kindness, warm, caring heart and a positive attitude. Bob was a lifetime member of the Elks Country Club. Playing golf with his close friends, Rip, Kevin, Doug, Dave, Brian and Steve, meant the world to Bob. He was a Godly man with a servant's heart and he was an usher at Calvary Church alongside his many friends that he loved and admired. Professionally, Bob had his State of Michigan Real Estate License and owned several golf courses over the years. He was a Certified Property Manager, had his Broker and Securities license, and the owner of Nash and Company. In his younger years Bob obtained his pilot's license and owned his own plane. He truly loved flying and enjoyed being able to fly to and from the various apartment communities he owned and managed. Bob will be incredibly missed by all who knew him.
