Robert McCulfor

93, of Richland, died Thursday, October 5, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. Bob was born May 3, 1924 in Kalamazoo to Roy and Irene (Laing) McCulfor. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Corps during WWII. Bob graduated from the University of Michigan and worked as an engineer for Checker Motors, retiring in 1986. Bob married Roberta Reiley on March 23, 1956, who survives. Also surviving are their six children, Robert R. McCulfor, Mark (Shawn) McCulfor, Timothy (Julie) McCulfor, Lorinda (Kevin) DeVries, Stephen (Deanna) McCulfor and Kristen (Jamie) Dodge; 16 grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a brother-in-law, Rodger Reiley. Bob's greatest legacy is his large, loving family who will always remember his love of Michigan football, quick wit and superior ping pong skills. They will be forever grateful for the values he instilled in them and for the example he set as a loving husband and father. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Farley Estes Dowdle Funeral Home & Cremation Care, Richland Chapel. Funeral services to celebrate Bob's life will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, October 9 at Northeastern Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo.
