Robert J. Kedrovicz 89 of Traverse city, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016.

He was born on February 12, 1927 in Traverse City the son of John Joseph and Laura A. (Courtade) Kedrovicz.

Robert was in the Navy during World War II. He received the Victory, American Area and Asiatic Pacific Ribbons.

He was a salesman for CW Mills Paper Company. He worked in sales most of his adult life with a short stint as a lumberjack, retiring from Wolverine World Wide/Shelby Glove. He was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

He was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing and hunting. When he was 12 years old he became an impromptu fishing guide. He would also clean all the fish for the tourist for 25 cents per batch. Robert loved to be with his grandchildren. Each Spring he would buy a new bike for each grandchild how needed one. He was a very giving person and loved to help others, especially those in need. He loved a good and a bad joke.

He is survived by his children, Karen (Scott) Logan, Michael Kedrovicz, Madonna Guthrie and Pamela (Randy) Piatt; 18 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and recently a great-great-granddaughter.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Doris Monterrusso and brother, Francis Kedrovicz.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11am, Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church; where the family will greet friends starting at 10am. Burial will be in the Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens, Traverse City.
