Robert G. Bliesner

Surrounded by his family, Robert Gene Bliesner, “Bob”, age 80, passed away Friday, April 10, 2015 at Wheaton Franciscan All Saints Hospice.

Bob was born in Milwaukee May 12, 1934. On May 13, 1967 he was united in marriage to June M. Slater who preceded him in death May 26, 2011. Bob was an electrician by trade and worked many years at Horlick’s Malted Milk Co and retired from Haban Mfg. In his younger years he was involved with the Boy Scouts and had served as a scout leader. He was a Sci Fi fan who enjoyed bicycling and tinkering with electronics. He will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his son, Rick (Lorie) Slater of Sturtevant; grandchildren, Michelle Slater of Ft. Worth, TX, Shawn (Heidi) Slater of Brighton; great-grandchildren, Richard, Grace, and Alex; in-laws, Roger (Geri) Slater of Racine, Darlene Slater of Sturtevant; nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends.

Per Bob’s wishes private services will be held followed by entombment at West Lawn Memorial Park.
