Robert Dean Fuller, age 81, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away on October 22, 2016 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born on December 20, 1934, Bob worked hard and played harder. Most notable was his love of camping which he shared with his family and friends. In his mid-thirties he and several friends developed the Western Michigan Boaters and Campers, Inc. creating a campground where many families came annually to make fun summer memories. A 1952 graduate of Kalamazoo Central, in his teen years, Bob played football and was a Golden Glove boxer. From 1952 to 1958 Bob was a Marine Reservist. He was very proud to be an American. Bob was known for being an intelligent, tenacious man who was a great problem-solver. He retired from Georgia Pacific as a Utilities Supervisor after decades of service. He enjoyed his retirement on 40 acres in Plainwell, Michigan where he and his partner of 23 years Judy Palmer, enjoyed cross country skiing and the beauty of the woods. He was preceded in death by his sister Gloria Vliek and survived by his four children Mike Fuller, Vicki Fuller, Debbie Ellis and Sheri Dillon; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Many who were able to spend time with him in his final days. Langeland Funeral Homes
