Robert Ebrite

Robert "Joe" Ebrite, age 53, of Kalamazoo, MI passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at his home. Joe was born November 19, 1963 in Kalamazoo, the son of Rod and Carol (Williams) Ebrite and has lived the majority of his life in the Kalamazoo area. He had a love for superheros and was an avid comic book and t-shirt collector. He loved his granddaughters, enjoyed tutoring them in reading and math and went on every field trip for his kids. He was a loving father and grandfather. Surviving are his 2 children, Natasha (Matthew) Dunithan of Kalamazoo and Bert Ebrite of Kalamazoo; 2 granddaughters, Lillian and Madisyn; father, Rod and Maggie Ebrite of Mattawan; ex-wife and friend, Dee Ebrite; 2 sisters, Julie and Mary; 3 brothers, Jim, Earl and Gordy; and many nieces and nephews. The family will meet friends 5-7 PM Monday at the Gobles Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home where the memorial service will be 7:00 PM with Rev. Sheila Baker officiating. According to his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family suggests memorials be made to a food pantry of your choice.
