Robert Cayo

Passed away on Monday, February 5, 2018 at the age of 72. Robert was born in Muskegon, MI on May 2, 1945, the son of the late William J. Cayo and Mildred (Oosting) Cayo. He received his Bachelors degree from Michigan State University. He retired from Roots Springs Scraper after thirty years of service. He was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Parchment. He belonged to the V.F.W. and the Elk's Lodge. Among his hobbies, he especially loved to play golf. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Rosemarie Nedeau-Cayo; one son, Jeff (Mary Dore) Cayo; one sister, Sue (Craig) Cottrell; two nephews, Nathan and Matthew; two grand nieces and one aunt, Dolly (Bill) Ruud. The Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, 1628 East G Avenue, Parchment, MI 49004. There will be a visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of the Mass. Rev. Fr. James O'Leary will officiate the service. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2018 in the chapel at St. Mary Cemetery in Muskegon, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the American Heart Association, St. Ambrose Catholic Church or a charity of the donors choice.
