Richard Wragg

Richard E. Wragg, age 88, of Grand Rapids, formerly of Kalamazoo, died Monday, April 25, 2016 at Sunrise of Cascade Senior Living. Dick was born on July 14, 1927 in Paw Paw, Michigan, the son of Merrill and Kathryn (Cummings) Wragg. He served as an officer in the U.S. Army and was a Michigan public school educator. He is survived by five children: Dixon of Cotati, CA, Jeffrey (Marie Fitzwilliam) of Charleston, SC, Sheryl (Clifford Hodge) of Lake Orion, Mark (Jude Grant) of Grandville, and Mary (Charles Luttenton) of Grand Rapids; three grandchildren: Jordan Ross Dunning and Kendall Claire Dunning of Grand Rapids and August Alexander Hodge of Livonia; one brother, James (Patricia) of Centreville and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cremation has taken place. There is more to say about Dick's life but, as is typical of him, he prepared a template of his own obituary in advance and requested brevity. We would love to share your memories of our dad, brother and grandfather. The family will host an open house time of fellowship and remembrance on Saturday, April 30, 2016 from 1:00 3:00 pm at the First Presbyterian Church of Paw Paw, 120 Pine Street. Refreshments will be provided. At Dick's request, there will be no formal service, but family and friends will plan to share stories and memories aloud with those gathered at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to the Paw Paw Alumni Corporation or the charity of your choice .
