Dick entered eternal life on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his family. Dick was born on August 25, 1942 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to Donald and Ruth (Klein) Wisser. He was united in marriage to Marja Potgiesser, September 2, 1961 at St. Mary's Church. Dick was the proud owner of Wisser's Service, Parchment, MI. Together with Marja, he began running the Gulf gas station in 1961 and built a family legacy, with sons Jeff and Rick learning the trade alongside their dad. Dick's reputation for honesty and hard work has continued to be a hallmark of the family business. When not repairing cars or helping customers (in hundreds of ways), Dick enjoyed trips to Las Vegas with Marja, countless card games, family gatherings, country music, and Nascar races. His competitive spirit was unleashed at age 40 when, with great passion, he began a long and intense devotion to the sports of golf and bowling. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Bob and Mike Wisser, and brother-in-law Marsh Draper. He will forever be loved and cherished by his wife, Marja; children Jeff (Joy) Wisser, Brenda (Chris) Sinkovitz, Rick (Jill) Wisser; grandchildren Jamie (Labiba), Corey (Taylor), Kate, Peter (Gretchen), Lan, Sarah, RJ; great grandson Matthias; sisters Jane (Joe) Runza, Joyce Draper, Judy (Jeff) Smith; sisters-in-law Ann Wisser (Ron Lester), Barb Wisser, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 pm Friday April 8, 2022 at Parchment Redmond Funeral Home where a Rosary will be prayed at 7:45 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday, April 9, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Richland. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Church Food Lift.
