Richard Sweitzer

Died Monday evening September 24, 2018. Richard was born September 10, 1933 in Kalamazoo, Michigan a son of Walter and Hildegarte (Watson) Sweitzer. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Air Force. He had been a Kalamazoo area resident most of his life and was employed with DeMaggd Automotive for 25 years before retiring. Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Genevieve C. Sweitzer on August 10, 2013; a brother, Jack Sweitzer; and a sister, Judy Sweitzer. He is survived by a son, Richard "Rick" Sweitzer, Jr. of Richland; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held 1:30PM Friday, November 2nd in Fort Custer National Cemetery with full military honors. There will be no visitation.
