With his daughters by his side, Richard A. Peterson, age 84, passed away on Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 at his residence. Richard was born in Eau Clair, WI on June 12, 1932, son of the late Alvin and Odette (nee: Clark) Peterson.

On March 26, 1965, he was united in marriage to Ann K. Decker at Bethany United Methodist Church. They were married for nearly fifty years, before Ann passed away on November 17, 2014. He was employed with J.I. Case Company for over thirty years, until his retirement in 1987. In his spare time he enjoyed NASCAR, tractor pulls at the county fair, playing cards with his friends and putzing around the house, fixing almost anything.

Richard will be dearly missed by his daughters, Kathy (Dean) Erhardt, Marjorie (Mario) Bruno; grandchildren, Sylvia (Dan) Tyree, Jenifer (David) Fechner, James (Lisa) Erhardt, Christina Davis; great grandchildren, Dustin, Destiny, Jeremiah, Ashley, Bella and Tessa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Wallace (Gail) Peterson, Ronald (Linda) Peterson, Jan Peterson, Glen (Carol) Peterson; lifelong friends, Dwayne (Darlene) Gorkowski; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Richard was also preceded in death by his daughter, Nancy (Robert) Norbert, and his brother Leonard.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, April 20, 2017, 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 11: 00 a.m. until time of service at 1:00 p.m. Memorial to Hospice Alliance have been suggested.

The family extends a special thank you to the entire staff at Hospice Alliance and Home Harbor for their loving and compassionate care.
