Dick passed away peacefully with his family by his side on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at Borgess Medical Center in Kalamazoo. He was born January 6, 1936 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Stanley and Martha (Nowak) Majewski. Dick proudly served his country in the US Air Force. He had worked at Hooker Motor Freight, Foreway Transportation and Allied Trucking until his retirement. Dick loved to tinker around fixing things. He was a skilled carpenter and had built his own home. Dick was a parishioner of St. Margaret Catholic Church in Otsego. On May 4, 1957 in Traverse City he married Marilyn Tuller who survives. Also surviving are his children, Therese (Bill) Holdeman of Plainwell, John (Susan) Majewski of Wayland, Cathy Dobbs of Kalamazoo, Stephen Majewski of Kalamazoo, Matthew (Tanisha) Majewski of Otsego, Elizabeth (Rick) Cornell of Chelsea and Janet (Kenneth) Lake of Pensacola, FL; 8 grandchildren, Andrew, Nathan, Matt Jr., Ryan, Ally, Collin, Connor and Alysa; 1 great-grandchild, Noah, sister, Rita (Maurice) DeWitte and family friend, James Hatfield. He was preceded in death by his parents and children, Tammy Johnston and Christopher Majewski. Friends may visit with Dick's family from 2-4 P.M., and 6-8 P.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2018 with a rosary service at 7:30 P.M., at the Winkel Funeral Home, Otsego. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 2, 2018, at St. Margaret Catholic Church, Otsego, with Rev. Fr. Gordon Greene officiating. Burial will follow at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta. Contributions in memory of Dick may be made to St. Vincent de Paul Ministry.
