Richard Leach

Leach, Richard A. Richard Leach, 76, passed away on Monday, March 4, 2019. He was born February 7, 1943 in Kalamazoo, a son of the late Robert and Beverly (Stafford) Doxtater . He served in the U.S. Navy from 1961 until honorably discharged in 1963. After serving his country in the Navy, He worked hard for 30+ years on the railroad ensuring the safty of the train cars until he happily retired in July 2004. He spent the rest of his days doing what he loved fishing and spending time with friends and family. Richard was an amazing, kind hearted, caring, man with one heck of a sense of humor. He was a devoted and loving friend, husband, son, brother and most importantly father. He will be forever held in our hearts and missed by all who were so blessed to have known him. May he soar with the eagles and fish forever as he watches over us all. Richard is survived by his children, Dale Leach, Richard Leach, Tammy Leach, David Anderson, Roxanne Duncan (Matt), Jennifer (TJ) Hartley, and step-children Robert and Trish Curry; 15 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; as well as siblings, Thomas Doxtater, Jack (Sherlon) Doxtater, Gloria Griffen and Rodney (Donna) Doxtater. A memorial service will be Saturday, March 23rd, 2:00 pm at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Westside Chapel, 3926 S. 9th St. A private interment will take place at a later date.
