Richard Horton

Richard "Rich" Horton, age 64, of Bangor, MI passed away Sunday, August 14, 2016 at Spectrum Butterworth, Grand Rapids. Rich was born March 28, 1952 in South Haven, the son of Kenneth and Betty (Hogmire) Horton and has lived all of his life in the Bangor area. He worked recently at Whirlpool and then Parker Hannifin in Kalamazoo. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cutting firewood, Detroit Tigers, and loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Gail whom he married July 16, 1977; three sons, Ken (Alicia Bess) Horton of Olivet, Dustin (Stephanie) Horton of Paw Paw, Michael (Adryanna) Holmes of Hudsonville; 3 grandchildren, Zella Horton, Desirae and Ethan Holmes; sister, Laura (Randy) Darr of Paw Paw; many nieces and nephews. According to his wishes cremation has taken place and the family will meet friends 5-8 PM Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Bangor Chapel, D. L. Miller Funeral Home where there will be a Gathering of Friends 11:00 AM Friday to Celebrate and Remember his life.
