Richard "Dick" E. Hinsman

Richard “Dick” E. Hinsman, age 87, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at his residence. Dick was born in Racine, January 15, 1929, son of the late Carl and Florence (Nee: Peil) Hinsman.

Dick owned and operated Hinsman Realty Inc. for forty years. In 1974 Dick served as President of the Racine Board of Realtors and was awarded Realtor of the Year in 1975. He also served on the Wisconsin Real Estate Board for the Department of Regulation and Licensing, and many other local and state committees to assist and help others. Dick was a wonderful pianist and musician. In their earlier days Dick and Virginia could be seen throughout the area playing in their society band. When Dick wasn’t busy working he loved golfing with his friends.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Virginia “Ginny”; sister, Sharon (Santos) DeRose; special nephew and partner of Hinsman Realty Inc., Ralph (Cindy) DeRose; other nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce (Don) Olle.

Private funeral services with entombment was held at Holy Cross Garden Mausoleum, Hwy 32. Memorials to St. Catherine’s High School have been suggested.
