Richard C. Schattner "Dick"

Richard C. Schattner, age 72, passed away Saturday, February 13, 2016 at his residence. Richard was born in Racine, September 1, 1943, son of the late Herbert and Gladys (Nee: Monty)Schattner.

A dedicated worker, Richard was employed by J.I. Case Company as a millwright for over fifty years, and was a member of the Local Union 180. Dick recently joined the Racine Moose Lodge. An excellent pool player, he loved playing pool with the Wednesday Pool League and around the area. Richard also enjoyed bowling, fishing, puzzles, and was a fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Chris Schattner and his son, Tyler; Mickey (Julie) Schattner and their son, Cameron; sister-in-law, Jean Schattner of Union Grove; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Don, Wayne and sister, Alice.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, February 20, 2016, 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends may meet with the family at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 10:30. Interment will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park. Memorials to Salmon Unlimited have been suggested.
