75, of Vicksburg MI passed away peacefully January 11, 2019, of natural causes at Bronson Methodist Hospital. He is survived by his wife Brenda, son Todd and granddaughter Delia and his favorite granddog Sparty. He is also survived by his beloved brother and sister Gail and Doug. Rich grew up on a farm in Vicksburg where he learned a strong work ethic and a unique ability to fix or create most anything. He loved to fish, hunt, and many other sportsmen activities. Rich married his high school sweetheart Brenda and built a new home where together they raised two boys and nurtured their granddaughter in 50 plus years of marriage. Rich worked in the paper industry for forty years starting with Allied Paper in Kalamazoo. He held many positions and moved up the ladder to management and different union officer positions. Rich always made time for what mattered most including; coaching his son's younger baseball and basketball teams, and being front row for all his granddaughter's sporting events. A former high school football athlete himself, Rich would often work double shifts to get off to attend his son's high school sporting events. Rich was frugal enough to retire early and purchase the fishing boat of his dreams, which he enjoyed sharing with friends and family. Rich was a great man; tough, caring, crafty, and a committed family man. He was the type of person that helped Make America Great! A celebration of his life will be held this Saturday from 1-3 at Latitude 42, 7842 Portage Rd. Family and friends are welcome to attend. The family wants to thank the incredible doctors and nurses of Bronson Methodist Hospital.
