Richard A. Kamenar, age 73, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at Ascension All Saints Medical Center. He was born in Painesville, OH, March 17, 1945, son of the late Stephen and Leona (Nee: Baker) Kamenar.

On September 2, 1972 at the First United Methodist Church in Mentor, Ohio he was united in marriage to Carol Binns. Shortly after their marriage, Richard and Carol moved to Racine, Wisconsin. In Wisconsin, Richard worked in the hydraulics field and throughout his career was employed by Rexnord, Racine Hydraulic, Bosch, Dana, JM Grimstead, and lastly at All Fastener. Richard loved flying and was a member of EAA Chapter 838. In his spare time he enjoyed NASCAR, woodworking and teaching his son how to fix anything and everything around the house. Most of all he cherished time with his family.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife of forty-five years, Carol; his son and daughter-in-law, Garret (Kristin) Kamenar and their two children, Jack and Laura, of Mukwonago; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara (Steve) Frederick of Anchorage, AK; other relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation and Memorial Service will be held Friday, April 20, 2018. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Friday at the funeral home from 4:00 P.M. until time of service at 6:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Dan and Ray’s Rendering Thanks, EAA Chapter 838 in Racine, or Habitat for Humanity of Racine.
