Rebecca De Leon

Rebecca passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2018 in Kalamazoo, MI at the age of 84. She was born on March 30, 1934 in Mercedes, TX a daughter of Simon and Guadalupe (Alvarado) Reyes. Rebecca was a faithful member and volunteer at St. Joseph Catholic Church. She retired from Wyndham Retirement Village. Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ismael Reyes. In 1954, Rebecca married Ernesto DeLeon, who survives. Also surviving are her children, John (Joan) Gonzales of Kalamazoo, Joe (Peggy) Gonzales of Comstock, Ernest DeLeon, Jr., of Kalamazoo, Guadalupe (Brian) Little of Kalamazoo, Robert (Mae) DeLeon of Kalamazoo, Mary Norma (Santos) Rincones of Augusta and David (Vickie) DeLeon of Galesburg; grandchildren, John (Jessica) Gonzales, Jr., Daniel Gonzales, Anthony (Mandy) Gonzales, Becky (Joe) Carlin, Joey (Missie) Gonzales, Cassie (Brian) Oros, Stacy (Tom) Nimmo, Juanita Gonzales, Angelina Gonzales, William DeLeon, Julia (Jeff) Thompson, Kevin Ryan (Terri) Cook, Robert DeLeon, Jr., Ramon (Michele) DeLeon, Christina (Chris) Paul, Monica (Dontrell) Bowden, Holly (Austin) Douglas, Angela Morgan and Anna DeLeon, 21 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Minnie Reyes; a brother, Daniel Cano; a sister-in-law, Ellen Reyes; and many nieces and nephews. Private funeral services will be held at Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street, and private graveside services will be held in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
