Rebecca Ahlrich

Rebecca Belle Ahlrich (Thompson), age 69, of Elephant Butte, NM died Thursday December 1, 2016 from complications caused by cancer. Becki was born in Kalamazoo, MI (January 1947) to Earl & Billie Thompson. Becki was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Earl Thompson & brother-in-law Duane Ritsema. Becki is survived by her husband Al of 37 years, sister Linda Ritsema, brother Jim (Karen) Thompson and sister-in-law Linda Thompson. Becki worked for years at Brown Co., later named James River Co. She left James River to work alongside her husband Al, at Albert's Tree Farm. Retiring from the farm, Al & Becki moved to Elephant Butte, NM. In all these walks of life she has met friends that have become very dear to her. Family and friends were very important to her. She always made a point to keep in touch and visit when possible. There were many good times at her & Al's home. She had such an exuberant personality that everyone wanted to be around her. Her last thoughts were about her friends and how much she would miss them. Becki's ashes will be brought back to Richland next Spring. Her friends and family will have an opportunity to say Goodbye. Becki loved animals.
