Raymond A. Warner, age 85, of Kalamazoo, MI died Sunday evening November 22, 2015. Ray was born December 9, 1929 in Walnut Ridge, Arkansas a son of Lester and Marie (Wilson) Warner. During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Army. He had been a lifelong Kalamazoo area resident and was employed with the Brown Paper Company for many years and later worked at Cellofoil Company for 18 years before retiring. Ray was a learner and a doer such as photography, kayaking, square dancing, hunting, chess, painting, rollerblading, rebuilding motorcycles, avid golfer and so much more but always made time for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; 5 siblings, Esther, James, Yvonne, Chester, and Charlie Ray. On January 8, 1955, he was united marriage to Gail A. (DeWitt) Warner who survives. Also surviving, 4 children, Kim (Jerry) Ridderbos of Portage, Mark (Leslie) Warner of Kalamazoo, Kelli (Roger) Craddock of Scotts, and Todd Warner of Hastings; 9 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Friends may meet the family 2-4pm Saturday, November 28th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick St. Private burial will take place in Mt. Ever-Rest Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
