Raymond Novak

Raymond Michael Novak Jr., 72, of Scotts, Michigan, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2020, from complications related to MS. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Berna Lee Novak (Christy), his son, Michael (Paula) Novak and grandson, Eric Novak and his fiance, Brittany Schulte. Extended family that he also shared his life with, Brian Van Dyke and Ian Van Dyke and their families, Dave (Amy) Eddy and family. Ray was a United States Air Force disabled veteran. He served his country with integrity first, service before self and excellence in all he did. Ray lived a good life in Scotts, where Berna took excellent care of him and they both enjoyed watching the deer and birds that visited their yard every day. A memorial service will be held at the Baxter Funeral Service in Battle Creek, on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the National MS Society-Research Fund or the VAMC-Battle Creek, Recreation Therapy services.
