Randy Schmidt

Randy L. Schmidt of Galesburg, MI passed away Sunday, August 23, 2015 at the age of 60. He was born August 15, 1955 in Paw Paw, MI. Randy was united in marriage to Sue Cowgill on 7-8-1978. Randy and Sue had a strong passion for drag racing and for NASCAR. Randy is survived by his wife, Sue; children, Kari Schmidt and Kyle (Rachel) Schmidt; 1 granddaughter, Abigail; and he will be really missed by his dog Otis. Randy is preceded in death by a son, Joshua Schmidt. A funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at 3:00pm at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel, 622 S. Burdick Street and the family will greet friends for 1 hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Kalamazoo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Galesburg Firefighters Association.
