Ralph H. Matheus, age 96, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Ridgewood Care Center. Ralph was born in Milwaukee, October 14, 1921, son of the late Paul and Marie (Nee: Doman) Matheus.

He proudly served in the United States Army. On October 29, 1950 he was united in marriage to Alice Hessler who preceded him in death, March 6, 2000. He was employed by A. George Schultz Printing for forty-five years until his retirement. Ralph was a longtime active member of Wellington Park Lutheran Church, Milwaukee, more recently Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church in Racine. He had a passion for the opera and art.

Ralph will be dearly missed by his sons, Craig Matheus (Rev. Dr. Tony Larsen), Mark (Sharon) Matheus; sister, Lorraine Meixner; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Harvey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 18, 2017, 2:00 P.M. at the Olympia Brown Unitarian Universalist Church, 625 College Avenue. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Saturday at the church from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at 2:00 P.M. Private entombment with Full Military Honors will be held at Wisconsin Memorial Park. Memorials to one's favorite charity have been suggested.
