Surrounded by his loving family, Ralph E. Haas, age 89, passed away Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Shorelight Memory Care. He was born in Racine, April 16, 1928, son of the late Clarence and Genevieve (Nee: Reichert) Haas.

Ralph was a graduate of William Horlick High School. During World War II Ralph proudly served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theatre. On October 9, 1946 he was united in marriage to Mary F. Granger who preceded him in death, April 14, 2001. He was employed by J.I. Case Company for twenty-five years, retiring in 1993. Ralph was a member of the Racing Pigeon Club, Progressive Flying Club, Caledonia Pigeon Club, and Racine Moose Lodge #437. He was devoted to his family and loved involvement with his children’s sports.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Terry (Judy) Haas of Marietta, GA, Christie (Herman) Kraus of Sun Prairie, Sandy (Robert) Hansen of Racine, Barbara Brooks of Sun Prairie, Joseph Haas of Mt. Pleasant, Mitchel (Jody) Haas of Racine; beloved Papa to 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; brother, Terence (Pat) Haas of Racine; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife he was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip.

Funeral services will be held Monday, November 20, 2017, 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Holy Family Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the funeral home from 9:30 A.M. until time of service at 11:00 A.M.

Ralph’s family wishes to extend their sincere gratitude to Ally Hospice and staff at Shorelight Memory Care for their loving and compassionate care.
