Phyllis Laurian

Phyllis J. Laurian, 84, passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018. She was born September 1, 1933 to the late Raymond and Margaret (Newlun) Leader. Phyllis was united in marriage to Donald "Don" "Bud" Laurian on May 14, 1949 for a loving 69 years together. Phyllis was a very loving and caring lady. She loved nature and animals and fed every critter that came around. She loved to travel, enjoyed people and parties. She was a hard worker, very dependable and the very best wife a man could have. I was very lucky to have 69 of the best years of my life with her. Mom was my compass in life. She taught me to be strong and independent and to reach out to the people that could help me when I lost my way. I will forever miss her. Mom and I went back to school together, which gave us time to share an experience together. She taught us to be stronger people within ourselves, to make our choices with thought. Forever in our hearts. Phyllis is survived by her husband, Don; daughters, Vicki (Gary) Nichols and Val (Dave) Babbitt; 3 grandchildren, Tammy Green, Kevin Terry and Jason Terry; great-grandchildren, Tyler (Trina-Mourer) Green, Tori Terry and Abbey Warren Terry; 3 great-great-grandchildren, Gemma Green, Kennedy Warren and Miles Warren; sister, Diane (Pete) Oppenhuisen; and several nieces and nephews.
