Phyllis Comba

Comba, Phyllis 12/13/1935 - 12/14/2016 Jackson Phyllis Joy Comba, age 81, died peacefully Wednesday evening, December 14, 2016 at the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home in Jackson, Michigan. Phyllis was born in Pitcher, Oklahoma on December 13, 1935 to Louis and Edna Comba. She grew up in Princeton, Illinois. Phyllis went to college in California and became a teacher. One year of that convinced her that wasn't her calling, so she returned to Chicago where she attended business school and was offered a position at The Upjohn Company in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 1960. She retired to Florida in 1994 and lived there 10 years before returning to Kalamazoo. In 2006 Phyl moved to Jackson, Michigan where she resided until her passing. Phyllis is survived by her brother A. Randolph Comba and his wife Barbara and their three daughters, Cara, Catrina and Christina. She also leaves behind several close friends and her beloved cat, Rusty. An informal service to remember Phyl will be held at a later date. A HUGE thanks goes out to the wonderful people at the hospice home. Their compassion and care, of both Phyllis and her friends was above and beyond and appreciated so much.
