Phyllis Chase

Chase, Phyllis 5/25/1929 - 3/6/2021 Allegan Phyllis Yvonne Chase, 91, of Allegan, MI passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Life Care Center of Plainwell. Born May 25, 1929 in Kalamazoo, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Frances (James) Anspach and was the wife of the late Jack Happy Chase. Mrs. Chase was a talented artist who especially loved to paint beautiful portraits for friends and loved ones. She was a joyful woman with a wonderful sense of humor. Mrs. Chase had a genuine love for people and all who knew her loved and adored her as well. She and her husband were faithful servants of the Lord. Together they devoted much of their time and energy to many local churches and organizations. Mrs. Chase is survived by her son, Jack Chase and his wife, Shawna; a sister, Gladene Pattison; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dolores Lester and Colleen Anspach. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place in the coming months and those details will be announced once they are finalized. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Forgotten Man Ministries, 3940 Fruit Ridge Avenue NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49544; or to a charity of your choice. Gorden Funeral Residence, Allegan Chapel, is assisting the family with arrangements.
