Peter Jay Hopkins, age 57, of Richmond, VA passed from this earthly life into heaven on September 26, 2016. Hopkins (deceased) in Frankfort, MI. Peter is survived his brothers, James, Randy, Jeff, Paul and Verne and sisters Linda and Lynn and their spouses and partners, plus hosts of nieces, nephews and cousins. Two brothers, Thomas and Jerome and mother-in-law, Betty Pugh, pre-deceased Peter. His Pugh siblings are Karen, Rodney and Patrick Pugh, Angela Dunnagan and Steven Nave and their spouses, hosts of nieces and nephews and his father-law Richard Pugh. He loved and was loved by his two dearest friends, Will Nichols and Mike McLoughlin. Peter was Minister of Music at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, Richmond, where he cherished his choirs with the utmost respect, thanksgiving and joy. He loved his Virginia Girls and Boys Choirs, that were making such glorious music, and the parents that supported their every rehearsal. Sanctuary was utterly sublime and the adult choir was a group he was so proud to conduct. Peter loved being a servant of the Lord and was thankful every day of his life to be called to do what he loved and to share it with Hannah and Paula. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church on Saturday October 1st at 2pm. In Lieu Of Flowers, a Hannah Grace Hopkins Educational Fund has been established at Middleburg Bank, 315 Libbie Ave., Richmond, VA 23226.
