Paul Haig Derderian, age 92, passed away Monday, October 10, 2016, at Ascension All Saints Hospital. He was born in Racine, January 22, 1924, son of the late Vartavar and Victoria (Nee:Kapralian) Derderian.

Paul graduated from Racine Technical School and proudly served in the U.S. Army. On November 1, 1952 he was united in marriage to Margaret Hamparian and to this union came 2 children, Haig and Gay. They celebrated 58 years of marriage until Margaret’s passing in 2010. Paul was employed by Howard Industries for many years until starting a new electric motor company with David Hansen and Clair Tiede in 1971. He retired as Vice-President of manufacturing from WSM Inc. in 1990. Paul was a devoted Packer fan and season ticket holder since the Packers played at State Fair Park in the 1940s. He loved baseball since his days of playing in amateur leagues as a catcher and tried out for the Detroit Tigers. He had a passion for sports whether it was football, baseball, hockey, bowling, etc. Paul was incredibly devoted to his family and supportive of all his children’s interests. Above all, he was a loving husband and father who will be dearly missed.

Surviving are his son, Haig Derderian; daughter, Gay (Kaiser) Derderian-Kazarian; a sister, Mary Derderian; other relatives and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church, 4605 Erie St., Friday, October 14, 2016, 10:00 A.M. with Fr. Avedis Kalayjian officiating. Interment will follow at Holy Resurrection Cemetery, South Milwaukee. Relatives and friends may meet Friday at church 9:00 A.M. until service at 10:00 A.M. Memorials to St. Mesrob Armenian Apostolic Church have been suggested.
