Patrick W. McCray, age 81, passed away on Friday, December 25, 2015 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Racine on July 28, 1934 son of the late John and Alice (Nee: Doolittle) McCray. Patrick went to St. Rose Catholic Grade School, was a graduate of St. Catherine’s High School and furthered his education, graduating from U W Parkside. On February 13, 1954, Patrick was united in marriage to the love of his life, Lorraine Schwartz.

Patrick was employed by SC Johnson Wax for 44 years until his retirement and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, SC Johnson “20 - Year Club” and the German Club. He loved the outdoors, golfing, swimming, hiking in Sedona, and traveling which included trips to China and Ireland. He also enjoyed bowling and a Saturday was complete, with a martini with extra olives. He was loved dearly and will be sadly missed by his family.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Lorraine; children, Deborah (John) Wasikowski of Greenfield, WI, Patrick (Cyndi) McCray of Racine, Timothy McCray (fiancée, Annette Latorre) of Racine; daughter-in-law Toni McCray of Racine; grandchildren; great grandchildren; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, other relatives and dear friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas; 3 brothers, John, Arthur and Michael.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, December 30, 2015, 10:30 A.M., at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 2201 Northwestern Ave, with Reverend Ricardo Martin officiating. Private interment will be held at Calvary Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet Tuesday at the funeral home 4-6 P.M. and Wednesday at the church 9:30 A.M. until time of Mass at 10:30 A.M. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association or Hospice Alliance have been suggested.

The family wishes to extend a very special thank you to the angels at Becker-Shoop Center and Hospice Alliance for their loving and compassionate care.
