Born on December 15, 1939, in Wayland, MI to Ronald and Ruth (Wright) Standish; passed into the eternal glory of our Lord on April 16, 2018, at the age of 78. Pat graduated from Wayland Union High and enrolled at Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music, with an emphasis in missions and children’s ministry. She was a long-time member and faithful servant of South Church of Lansing. Pat was active as a deaconess, Sunday School teacher, and AWANA leader. She also participated in Vacation Bible School and Christmas and Easter cantatas. For many years, she was involved with the local and state Child Evangelism Fellowship. Always the tutor, for several years up through 2012, she loved working with home-schooled high school students through Teenworks. Above all Pat was a devoted follower of Christ. Pat married the love of her life, James Hunsucker, on October 3, 1970, and their two sons Ronald Laval, and James D., Jr. survive them. She was preceded in death by her father and mother. She is also survived by her siblings Sheila Standish, Gary Standish, Sharon Ruth Stone (Standish), and her grandchildren, Justin James and Ruby Lee Hunsucker; many beloved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A memorial service will be held Monday, April 23 at 10:30 AM at Madison Square Church, 1441 Madison Ave SE. Friends may visit with her family Sunday from 3-5:30 PM at Heritage Life Story Funeral Home, 1833 Plainfield Ave NE. www.lifestorynet.com
