Passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family; her ashes will be buried with her husband in Fort Custer National Cemetery. Pam lived and worked in the Kalamazoo/Galesburg area her whole life, which she lived on her own terms, her wonderful wit and sense of humor making her a favorite of all who met her. Survived by brothers: Richard (Mary Jean) and Robert (Vicki) of Portage; niece, Kelly Rendell (Jason) and great nephew, Keaton of Scotts. Preceded in death by parents, Merrill and Ruth Gates; and husband Jerry. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Kairos Dwelling Home, Reverence Hospice, Laurels of Galesburg and her long time friend Carla for the care provided Pam in her last days.
