Norman J. Schuring

73, of Ft. Myers, FL passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born December 14, 1945 in Kalamazoo, MI to Tony and Anna Schuring, now deceased. Norm was a teacher and basketball coach at Dowagiac Union High School and West Catholic High School. He was an adjunct faculty member at GRCC. He was a business owner of Kentwood Hardware. He graduated from Michigan State University. Norm enjoyed traveling in his MG, skiing, and fishing. Norm studied and participated in Civil War battle reenactments. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael J. Schuring in 1987 and by his brother, Ken Schuring. Norm is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Vickie Schuring of Ft. Myers, FL; daughter, Kristin Meucci (Patrick) of Telluride, Colorado; brother, Roger Schuring (Vicki) of Grand Haven, MI; sister-in-law, Marilyn Siebelink (Larry) of Cooperville, MI; a very special family member, Craig Mesler of Lancaster, California; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life is anticipated in the Spring in Grand Rapids, MI.
