Norma Floraine Wick Stowe, age 89, passed away on September 12, 2016, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan.

Norma was born on April 10, 1927, in Battle Creek, Michigan. Her parents were Kristian Magnus Wick and Signe Bergliot (Paulsen) Wick.

She lived most of her life in Lansing, Michigan, and later in life split her time between Stuart, Florida, and Elk Rapids, Michigan. Throughout her life she enjoyed painting, traveling, golf, and playing bridge. She was an accomplished sewer and knitter. She was also an avid reader. She was very much attached to the various cats and dogs who shared in her life.

Norma is survived by her children, Ron (Kris) Stowe of Holt, Michigan, Karla (Jim Trierweiler) Stowe of Elk Rapids, Michigan, and daughter-in-law, Cindy Stowe of Lansing; her sister, Stina Shinaberry and brother, Carl Wick; sister-in-law, Alice Hannula; grandchildren, Michael and Kevin Stowe, Jessamyn, Sonja and Robin Trierweiler, and Jason Stowe and Ashley (Stowe) Wagemaker; and great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, and Cooper.

Besides her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Bud" Stowe; son, Tim Stowe; and her brothers, Bob, Harry, and Ron Wick.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, at University Lutheran Church at 1020 South Harrison from 10:30 to 12:30.
