It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our father, Norbert Clemens Wisniewski, age 77, of Racine, Wisconsin. He passed away at his home as a result of natural causes, March 07, 2016.

Norbert was born in Edgar, Wisconsin November 23, 1938, son of the late Joseph and Regina (Myszka) Wisniewski. He graduated from Athens High School in 1956, and eventually joined the Army National Guard, Red Arrow 32nd Infantry Division. After his service ended, Dad married and had six children. He was active throughout his lifetime playing softball and volleyball, golfing, bowling, remodeling projects, cooking, and traveling. His true passion, though, was gardening. Much of his time was spent in the yard, mowing, working in the vegetable and flower gardens, and watching his gardens grow. Dad was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and Milwaukee Brewers fan. He was a long time volunteer at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Dad was a hard-working, loving, kind-hearted father who loved and adored his family.

He will be dearly missed by his children, Carol (John) Russel, Shelly Wisniewski, Bryan (Janie) Wisniewski, Alan (Linda) Wisniewski, Laura (Michael) Knapek, and Joseph (Juliet Steinbrenner) Wisniewski; his stepchildren, Sandra (Blair) Losee, Michael Iverson, Todd Iverson, Jeff Iverson and Shelly Le Crone; sister and brother, Lorraine Nowicki and Marvin Wisniewski; brother-in-law, Jim (Laurel) Romnek; many loving grand-children, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends; and his special friend, June Nienhaus and his little dog, Parker.

In addition to his parents and his wife Ruth (Romnek) Wisniewski, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ervin, Edwin, and Donald; and brother-in-law, Robert Nowicki.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, March 14, 2016, 12:00 P.M. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6400 Spring Street, with Rev. Terrance J. Huebner officiating. Relatives and friends may meet with the family Monday at the church from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass at 12:00 P.M. Private interment will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church.
