With his loving family by his side, Noel H. Johnson age 78, passed away peacefully in the arms of his family after a courageous six-year battle with Alzheimer’s. Noel was born in Racine April 13, 1939, son of the late Herbert and Mary (nee: Immal) Johnson.

Noel graduated from St. Edward’s grade school, Park High School “Class of 1957” and Carthage College. On March 16, 1963 in Lawton, OK, Noel was united in marriage to the love of his life, Doris Fiori. He proudly served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in Aschaffenburg, Germany. While stationed there, he enjoyed traveling with Doris throughout Europe. Noel was employed with SC Johnson for forty years last employed as credit manager before retiring in 2004. He was a member of St. Lucy Catholic Church, Racine Yacht Club, SC Johnson “20 Year Club” Roma Lodge and Moose Lodge. An avid golfer, Noel was also a member of the Johnson Men’s golf league and was proud of his hole in one. In his spare time, Noel enjoyed time spent with his family, tending to his roses and flower garden, playing the guitar and photography. He will be best remembered for his dry sense of humor, his green eyes that are now looking down on all of his loved ones, and his great love for his family, especially his loving wife, daughter and grandchildren, whom he was especially proud.

Noel will be dearly missed by his loving wife of 55 years, Doris; his wonderful daughter, Chris Kamakian; grandsons, Tyler and Niko Kamakian, his brother Terry Johnson, cousins William and Judy Penn; and other relatives and dear friends.

Private Memorial Mass will be held. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Southern Wisconsin Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Memorials to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and St. Jude Hospital have been suggested.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to LaDonna, Angel and Kim with Grace Hospice for their compassionate care.
