Neil Christensen

Neil Eugene Christensen, 65 of Traverse City, died June 22, 2016.

Neil was born on July 10, 1950 the son of the late Eugene and Florence (Stocker) Christensen in Flint. Neil worked at Buick in Flint. Neil was also was an extremely talented painter who worked for a good friend, John Evans, when he retired. He was a former resident of Empire. Neil enjoyed riding his bike, liked to cook, and loved telling jokes. He also collected unique items that turned into good conversational pieces. Neil loved his grandchildren. He spent a lot of time with his daughter, Amie and was deeply loved by her.

Neil is survived by his mother, Florence Christensen of Flushing; sister, Nancy Hager of Flushing; daughter, Amie Christensen of Traverse City; son, Matthew Christensen of Traverse City; grandchildren, Kyle Adams of Mancelona, Travis Adams of Kalkaska and Samantha Holeman of Traverse City.

Neil is preceded in death by his father, Eugene Christensen.
