Nathan Stuart Gibbons (Nate), Traverse City, Ml passed away peacefully at Munson Medical Center surrounded by family and friends, on Friday, June 29,2018 at the age of 34.

Nate was born to parents Susanne Kristine McDonald and David Brian Gibbons on July 31,1983. Nate was especially close to his "Mum" and looked forward to being with her in heaven. Nate was born in Cadillac, Ml but spent most of his life in Traverse City, Ml. Nate had a huge heart, evident by his large group of friends who were with him to the end. He loved spending time with his son Aiden, anything to do with music, playing his guitar, cooking, hanging out with his friends, camping and hiking and tattoos. His favorite meal was a tradition from his Mum who was from England, Yorkshire pudding and roast beef. Nate said himself that he'd had a full life at the age of 34, filled with good times and friends, and that his only wish was more time with his son. Nate was authentic, unique, kind, funny and loyal. He was always there to help everyone, and he felt his close relationships were the most important gift in his life.

Nate is survived by his son, who he called his life's best accomplishment, Aiden Christopher Gibbons, born on March 30, 2008. He picked Aiden's middle name from the Christopher Robin song his Mum sang to him when he was little. Nate is also survived by two brothers: Stephen Keith McDonald (Elk Rapids, Ml), his niece and nephew Sophia McDonald and Ian McDonald (Elk Rapids, Ml), and David Brian Gibbons (Traverse City, Ml). He had many special friends that he considered his family and he felt loved by all the messages of support during his final hours. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

A celebration of Nate's life will be held on Friday, July 20, 2018 at Sayler Park (Yuba Park Road) in Williamsburg Ml from 4-8 under Pavilion Two. Please come share memories, say goodbye and celebrate Nate. Nate was very specific about any memorial contributions going to his son Aiden. You can send any contributions to Rachel Magee (Aiden's Mother) 9987 North Long Lake Road Traverse City, Ml 49685
