Nancy Kabza

Nancy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to William Davis and Beulah (Collins) Davis. Over the course of her life, she also made her home in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and Charlotte, North Carolina, before living in Mount Dora, Florida.

Nancy served as assistant director of human resources for Kalamazoo County before becoming chief executive officer of her family business, (named after her late German Shepherd Dog) Cana Carolina Corp./SpecGuy, a consulting firm serving the construction industry, where she published award winning education programs. She was active in several professional associations and was a gifted public speaker.

She also served as a church youth leader and was an avid quilter. Her years in human resources made Nancy a natural interviewer with a genuine interest in people. If you met her in the store, she had a way of leaving the conversation knowing more about you than you ever imagined you would tell a stranger.

She is survived by her husband, Philip Kabza; her sons, Michael Kloack (Christine) of East Lansing, Michigan, Brian Kloack (Emily) of Fitchburg, Wisconsin, and Aaron Kloack of Marshall, Michigan; her stepson, Andrew Kabza (Jessie) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado; and nine grandchildren.

Nancy will be remembered with love for her leadership, creativity, warmth, and abiding curiosity about the lives of others.
