Nancy Green

Age 84, passed away August 18, 2019 at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo, MI. Nancy was born June 8, 1935 the daughter of Joseph and Olive (Robbins) Makay. She was a Kalamazoo area resident most of her life and was employed for over 24 years with The Upjohn Company. On May 5, 1956, she was united in marriage to Richard A. Green, who survives. Also surviving are their three daughters Lynne (Steven) Cronkhite, Sue Ellen (Richard) Huntington, Melissa (David) Shufelt; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; siblings John Makay and Susan Northrup; nieces and nephews. With grace, courage and strength, Nancy battled against ovarian cancer. She fought to stay with her husband (best friend & soulmate), and her family as long as she possibly could. Her life was her family, her pride and joy. In accordance with Nancy's wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Nancy's life will be held at 1:00PM on Saturday, August 24th at the Langeland Family Funeral Homes Burial & Cremation Services, 3926 South 9th Street with Pastor Greg Carlson officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to service time and immediately following the service in the Langeland Family Center.
