Nancy Jane Price Elliott, 87, passed away at Munson Hospice House Sunday, January 4, 2015. Nancy was born in 1927 in Cleveland, Ohio. She graduated from Purdue University, where she was a member of Alpha Chi Omega, and traveled to Japan and Germany to work in the Civil Service Corps after WWII. In 1955, she married Arthur George Elliott, and together they raised two children in Taylor, Michigan: Mark Arthur Elliott and Lisa Lynn Elliott. Nancy and Art retired to Sun City, Arizona, in 1987, where she resided until her return to Michigan late summer 2014.
Nancy was a synchronized swimmer, performing with and choreographing routines for the Aqua Suns swim team in Sun City for many years. She also enjoyed reading and traveling, visiting exotic locales like Africa and New Zealand. Nancy’s independent spirit, radiant smile, and positive outlook will be sorely missed.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel John Price and Wilhelmina Elizabeth Charlotte Caroline Dahman; husband, Arthur George Elliott; and daughter, Lisa Lynn Elliott. She is survived by her son, Dr. Mark Arthur (Heather Kingham) Elliott; sister and brother-in-law, Miriam and Keith Mulford; and nieces and nephews Keith, Mimi Jo, Molly, Mike, Nancy, Diane, and Janine.
