Nancy Cone

Cone (Glendenning), Nancy Ann 12/20/1931 - 8/26/2020 Spring Lake Park, MN Cone, Nancy Ann (Glendenning) age 88 of Spring Park, a former resident of Plymouth, MN passed away peacefully in her sleep August 26, 2020. Preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Spencer, who passed away in May of 1982. Nancy will be deeply missed by her children, Catherine Braun, Spencer Cone II, Andrew Cone; her sister Rosemary Applegren, and her grandchildren, Riley, Ean, Aliya, Corrine, Henry, Truett, Rachel, William, Avory and Lucas, and her family and friends. Nancy was born in Pontiac, MI on December 20, 1931; she later went on to graduate from Central High School in Kalamazoo, MI and attended Western Michigan University for 2 years. She and Spencer married in June of 1954 and were happily married for 28 years before Spencer's untimely death. Nancy and Spence started their life together in Kalamazoo, MI, with eventual moves to Pulaski, NY, Brainerd MN and Shawano, WI. Nancy moved to Plymouth, MN in 1982 and lived there until her move to Spring Park, MN in 2015. Nancy and her beloved niece and caretaker extraordinaire, Amanda Little, entered into business in 1983, opening Little Cone, Ltd which would later become a mainstay of the Wayzata, MN retail landscape for 25 years. Nancy was known for her direct ways, her generous nature, and her unending love for her family, and her love of sun and beaches. Always focused on her family and keeping connected, she created wonderful and honesty laden multi-generational relationships with her children and grandchildren, … she was the family anchor, and the safe harbor for all of them. A private Memorial service will be held by the family on Wednesday, September 2, 2020.
