Christensen, Nancy Ann Nancy Ann (Henderson) Christensen, age 80 of Schoolcraft, finished the race and went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday February 16, 2021. She was born in Lansing, MI on June 17, 1940. Nancy is survived by husband, Earl M. Christensen, of 61 years whom she met while a student at Taylor University. Nancy was a fierce survivor who fought cancer for over 18 years. She was cared for by her daughter and family in Ann Arbor during her final months. Nancy was a full-time home maker, and after raising their five children, earned dual degrees to become a Medical Transcriptionist. Nancy and Earl regularly volunteered at the Alternatives Crisis Pregnancy Center and Schoolcraft Historical Society. Nancy was a 4-H Leader and a Master Gardener who volunteered countless hours helping educate others through local garden centers and was a member of the Portage Garden Club. She maintained beautiful gardens on her own property and loved sharing them with family and friends. She practiced the traditional Scandinavian art of Rosemling, was a fantastic cook, and loved to bake, especially Norwegian Sandbakkels and Krumkakes. Nancy loved to travel, having fond memories of National Parks, Hawaii, Israel, Germany, Austria, Denmark, Norway, and Portugal. She was a member of Berean Baptist Church of Portage, sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and had a great passion for Scripture attending Bible Study Fellowship and Gull Lake Women's Ministry. Nancy had a smile that could light up a room and a laugh that was infectious. She loved the Lord Jesus with all her heart, soul, mind, and strength. She was a woman of character and left a legacy of three generations of Christ followers. She is a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family, all who have preceded her home to the Lord: parents, Kenneth and Grace Henderson; and sister, Janet (Jim) Cook. Children surviving her are Curt (Parti) Christensen of Three Rivers, MI; Mark (Patti) Christensen of Rockford, MI; Brian (Kathy) Christensen of Ada, MI; Susan (Phil) Brewer of Fairmount, IN; and Tami (Jason) Bennett of Ann Arbor, MI. Grandchildren: Tiffany (Ryan) VanDosen; Caleigh (Sonny) Haskins; Sawyer Christensen; Luke, Levi, and Lincoln Brewer; Reese and Zechariah Bennett. Great-grandchildren: Canaan and Titus VanDosen; Baby Boy Haskins. A private Memorial service will be held at Berean Baptist Church. Memorial gifts may be given to Berean Baptist Missions and Gideons International. Please visit Nancy's personalized online guestbook at https://www.langelands.com
