Died peacefully on September 11, 2018. Molly was born in Brownville, Maine to Damain and Mary Carter. She attended school in Milo, Maine. After high school, this strong, independent young woman took a bus to Chicago to attend Moody Bible Institute. While there, she caught the eye of Fred Stap, a young man who would become her husband and partner for 65 years. Fred and Molly moved to Michigan where they raised their family. Molly dedicated her life to sharing her love for her Lord Jesus through children's ministries and nursing home programs. Through the years, Fred and Molly lived in Grand Rapids, Kalamazoo, Gobles, Bangor, and eventually Sturgis. Molly is survived by her husband, Fred Stap as well as son Allen (Lovedia) Stap and daughter Sally Stap. She is also survived by her sister Charlotte (Frank) Dyer. Her family tree has stretched to include grandchildren: Kayla (Mark) Rudy, AJ (Ashley) Stap, Kendra (Adam) Goforth and Frederick Stap as well as four great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Muriel (Mickey), Johanne (Jo), and Sally as well as her brother Damon (Sonny). There will be no service or visitation.
